Terms of Service

Clear Line is an independent freelance web design practice operated directly by Owen Landis in Orrville, Ohio. I build custom business websites, landing pages, and contact forms. Every project is covered by a separate written agreement signed before work begins.

Web projects carry an upfront build payment (typically ranging between $500 – $2,500+, depending on project scope) to begin custom coding. Every project also includes an ongoing monthly Website Care plan for hosting, security, and minor edits (typically $50 – $100+ / month). Because the work is custom and hours are allocated directly to your project, no refunds are issued once the design is approved and coding begins.

Clients retain full control and absolute ownership of their copy, visual photos, logos, and custom website presentation after full payment is received. Clear Line Web Design retains local copies of the source files, styles, design architectures, and templates purely to supply rapid maintenance, ongoing backups, and update support.

Timely collaboration keeps projects moving quickly. I expect clients to supply text content, logos, and approvals within agreed-upon timelines, since delays on your end can delay launch. I reserve the right to refuse or cancel any project containing explicit, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate content to maintain a professional standard.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, Owen Landis / Clear Line Web Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party server downtimes, domain registration transfers, or local business operations. My service is delivered on an as-is, hand-coded basis.
